Part Three - Issue 1062, April 22nd 1972:
An armoured van, carrying five million pounds in new notes, is hijacked, but shortly afterwards is recovered by the police, although the villains escape. Believing all is well, Mother takes John Steed and Tara King with him to the Bank of England to see the money delivered safely.

AN armoured van, carrying five million pounds, is hijacked, but the police soon recover the van and money.  It is taken to the Bank of England, and Mother believes no real harm has been done - but John Steed thinks otherwise...

Part Eight - Issue 1067, May 27th 1972:
Steed and somebody who may or may not be Tara are held at gunpoint by Sir Cedric Cramp in TV Comic #1067JOHN STEED and Tara King have discovered that forged banknotes have been substituted for new notes delivered to the Bank of England.  Their investigations take them to Carver Hall, and an unfortunate meeting with the owner of the hall, Sir Cedric Cramp, who is president of a society which re-enacts battles of the Civil War.

Steed and Tara are being held at gun-point by Sir Cedric Cramp. He tells them that they know too much to be allowed to live, but he wants to know who they are before he shoots them. Steed introduces Tara first and then, lifting his bowler he tells Sir Cedric that his name is John Steed. He then throws the bowler, knocking Sir Cedric’s gun and forcing it to fire its only shot. He and Tara run. Sliding down the banisters they fight their way out through the assembled roundheads and cavaliers. As they reach the car, Sir Cedric has the main gates of the estate closed.
